Mormon Helping Hands
I just saw on a friend's blog about the Mormon Helping Hands and after I made this video this was the first thing that came to my mind. Jazeps is so willing to help with everything. He recently learned to take the clothes out of the washing machine and bring them to the room. He also helps to empty my shopping bag and one of his favorite activity is to empty my cupboard (even if I don't want that to happen).
Mormon Segito Kezek

I just had to put these photos here. I think Jazeps is so cute in these photos.
I have been a little slow writing our blog recently.
Couple of weeks ago as I was way busy with organizing the Super Saturday (Institute and Seminary activity) that we just received a phone call from the Baltic Mission President. I was definitely joking that I am seriously not able to have more callings so we really did not understand why he would want to meet with both of us.
Then on our little meeting he asked my husband if he is willing to work with the new District President and be his first counselor. Of course he said yes. It was a great surprise and still it is. I am really grateful to see my husband serving in the church. On my birthday he was called and set apart as the first counselor in the Riga Latvia District. The next Sunday we had a privilege to attend another branch then ours. He had his first talk there as a first counselor. Should I mention that it was in Russian and I did not understand it? But luckily he told me beforehand what he wants to tell to them. The following Sunday he had a talk both in our branch and in the other branch. Two talks in one day. He had in the Russian branch and in our Latvian branch. He was talking about the Law of Chastity. This is such topic, that I think it might be hard to talk about. He did such a great job. I was looking at him and felt that the person who is talking has authority. It is hard to explain, but it felt that as he would not even be my husband, but a different person. Oh, I mean it in a good way. Several members told me who special this talk was for them. They even explained as a blessing from God. That he, my husband delivered a message from God exactly to them.
The other funny thing for me was that I got called as the Institute and Seminary Coordinator couple of weeks ago while we still had the old District President, but because we were in Hungary they were not able to sustain me and to set me apart, but then as the new District President came then I was sustain right on the next Sunday.
So, I was joking about it, that the 1st Sunday President Birkenfelds (my husband) got a calling and next week right away his wife get a calling in the District. Anyways it was very funny for me at least.
Other than that we are doing good. Jazeps got cold several weeks ago, then he was better, but now couple of days ago he started to cough very much. I hope he will be better soon.
I need to go to sleep now.
