One of them called Līgo and the other one is Jāņi. So, just shortly we arrived to my husband's parents and together we went to a little village (town-I am not sure if it is a town) and they had a celebration of Ligo at first. On that day they are celebrating Liga's (female)nameday. So,they called all the female who has this name and gave them a little present. Then after they called all the men of the village who called Janis and they also got a little present. Then after they sang a song to all of them. This song is the Ligo song which is pretty much makes fun of them. They sing something funny about you and then you can sing back something funny to those people who are singing the song about you.
I made a short video of the song that they were singing to these people.
Other then that we went back to my mother-in-laws place and ate some fried meat.
On the 24 of June we made a huge fire which supposed to burn the whole night until it gets light again. The sun sets at 10.22pm and the sun rises at 4.30am but in reality it gets dark at around midnight and it gets lighter at around 3am so there is only 3 hours what you have to wait around your bonfire.
We did not wait at this year since Jazep was sleeping inside and anyways I am still feeding him at every 3 hours so I just wanted to use the chance that while he is sleeping I can also sleep a little.
so, here come all the photos. I cannot make them in order so there will be photos about Jazep and his cousin Evelina, the new boat that my father-in-law got for his name day, the lake where they went to try it, the neighbor's horse, the Ligo party in the village, and so on.
Szóval csak röviden.
A férjem szüleinél ünnepeltük a Ligo és a Jani ünnepségeket.
Ligo az június 23-án mig Jani az június 24-én van, Liga női névnap június 23-án mig Janis (Janos) június 24-én van. Tehát mi egy közeli kis faluba mentünk, ahol Ligo ünnepséget tartottak. Énekeltek és felköszöntötték a Liga és a Janis nevű lakosokat, majd elénekelték nekik a szokásos Ligo dalt. Amolyan vicces dal és megviccelik ezeket az embereket vagyis amolyan például (ez most saját költemény) " A szomszéd asszony elment a bótba, Ligo. A férje meg otthon maradt, Ligo. A pörköltjük odaégett, Ligo.
És akkor most az asszony énekli- "miért nem kavartad meg, Ligo?"
Erre a férje "miért mentél a bótba, Ligo? Maradtál vóna otthon, oszt kavartad vóna, Ligo"
Na, remélem érthető mi a lényege ennek a dalnak, persze nem fontos ilyen irónikusnak lenni. Ja és Ligo azt jelenti, hogy a fák hajladoznak tehát valami hajladozás.
Na, a többi fényképen rajta lesz Jazep az unokatestvérével, Evelinával, az apósom és az új csónakja, amit a névnapjára kapott, Rocky a vizikutya, a tűz, amit égettünk június 24-én. Elvileg azért rakják a tüzet, hogy addig világitson, amig a nap újra felkel. Este 22.22kor nyugszik a nap és reggel 4.30kor kel, de tulajdonképpen éjféltől van sötét és 3körül már világosodik, tehát arra a kis időre kell a fény.
Mi nem maradtunk idén ébren hiszen Jazep bent aludt és őt is nézni kellett közben nehogy felkeljen és egyedül legyen vagy sirjon és megijedjen, hogy senki sincs ott vele meg aztán ki is akartuk használni (főleg én) az alkalmat, hogy alszik és igy én is aludhatok. Még mindig eszik 3 óránként igaz ott azért volt, hogy aludt 5 órát is az éjjel.
