Christmas 2008- 2008 Karacsonya

We spent our Christmas with my husband's family in the country side.
We left on the 24th morning by train. It was so interesting for me to see that the train was full so as the bus and the bus stations. So many people were traveling.
At home in Hungary I could count on my two hands how many people are hanging around in the city during Christmas time. As my husband said here people only have time to travel when there is a holiday, but in Hungary during holidays most people just stay at home, or at least that is what I got used to see.

So, here are the photos.







And when we finally arrived to Vanagi which is about 100km from Riga up north towards Estonia.

A teli ruhazatom az szenzacios volt kozel hasonlo a sogornom teli ruhazatahoz mivel o is babat var, csak o mar a 33 heten van. A csizmam az egy orosz gyartmany, amit valenkij-nak neveznek es mivel akkora vadlijaim vannak ezert az aposom megkeselte a csizmat mielott ram adtak, mivel az egy ket emberes feladat volt.

We are back again.
We had wonderful 2 weeks without internet. I really enjoyed it a lot.
I tried to do simple, but useful things. Today I am 10 months and one day ago unemployed which is not always that easy.
Ok, I am really tired too right now, but I just want to let all of you to know that we are having a little boy in May.
We just found out tonight so I just had to tell it to all of you.
Yeah for little priesthood holders :)

Ujra visszatertunk.
Csodalatos 2 hetunk volt internet hasznalata nelkul. Igazan elveztem. Megprobaltam egyszeru hetkoznapi dolgokat csinalni. Ma mar tobb mint 10 honapja es 1 napja munkanelkul vagyok, ami nem mindig konnyu, de az egesznapi internetezes biztosan nem segit ezt megoldani.
Na, de most nagyon faradt vagyok es kulonben is csak annyit szerettem volna elmondani mindannyiotoknak, hogy ma este vegre feny derult a kis pocaklakonk nemere, es hat apja fia.
Szoval a kis papsagviselok vezetnek eddig. Niki, Bea, Nora 2-2-2 kis fiu, Krisztina 1 fiu es 1?, Etus 1 fiu es most mi is. Nalunk erdekes a gyuliben, hogy a kisfiuk inkabb az egyhazban szuletnek es sok a megtert csaladbol szarmazo kislany szoval legalabb van egyensuly.

Candles- a gyertyaim

I do not even know if it is because of Christmas is coming or it is only just because of cold and dark, but I love to make candles at this time of the year.
I usually just gather all the old candles that I used during the year and make something new out of them.
So, here are my new hand made candles.

Nem is tudom, hogy a Karacsony kozeledtevel, vagy csak mert hideg es sotet idoszak kovetkezik, de ilyenkor nagyon szeretek gyertyakat olvasztani.
Amit az ev soran elhasznaltam azokat szoktam ujra olvasztani es valami teljesen ujat kesziteni beloluk.
Itt jonnek a legujabb kezi keszitesu gyertyaim.

Our doctor's appointment- a 12 hetes vizsgalatok

So, we went tonight to the doctor to check our little one.
The lady was very nice and friendly and she spoke English so I was there without my husband. He was waiting outside.
Our baby is 6,45cm (2,5inches), but she found something on his/her head that she did not like. I don't know what was that and she did not know it either. She just said that we have to go and check in 2 weeks later and that that will be the first genetical
examination and then in 5-6 weeks later we have to go to another one.
What can I say? nothing
I just remember that we read somewhere that the ultrasound makes a continuous knocking sound what the baby is able to hear and if the rays go straight towards the baby then the baby would hear the sound of an arriving metro car. So, it was interesting because as we were watching the baby through the monitor I saw that he/she puts his/her arms towards the head which would mean in our world that he/she surrenders. Well, if I would hear a metro car coming towards me then I guess I would do something like that or at least if the metro car would come into our home into our bed.

Ma este voltunk az orvosnal, hogy ellenorizzuk a babankat. A doktorno nagyon rendes volt es meg angolul is tudott, szoval a ferjemnek nem kellett jonnie velem, kint varakozott. Szoval a baba 6,45cm igazi nagy baba. Viszont ahogyan a no elkezdett mosolyogni az elejen ugy le is fagyott az arcarol a mosoly. Nem kerdeztem semmit sem, mert nem akartam nagyobb bajt szoval csak varakoztam es neztem ahogy a lampa fenye mar lassan egeti a szememet. Szornyu volt nezni az arcat, amint valtozik es persze kozben tudni, hogy valami nincsen rendben odabenn. De legalabb annyit tudtam, hogy mozog, mert meg a doki no is integetett neki. Aztan felem forditotta a monitort es lattam, ahogy a kismano a ket kis kezet a fejehez emeli. Amolyan megadom magam pozicioban volt a kis draga. Aztan eszembe jutott, hogy olvastuk valahol, hogy az ultrahang kopogtato hangott hallatt es ha a fejre van iranyitva akkor meg hangosabb es egy erkezo metro szerelveny hangjaval er fel. Hat nem csodalom, hogy a kis draga megijedt mi a fenet keres egy metro anya pocijaban a kis babuci lakasaban.
Aztan beavatott lettem vagyis megosztotta ketelyet a doki velem is. Latott valamit a fejen, ami valami kinoves a gerinctol feljebb. Azt mondta, hogy a 12 es a 13 heten vannak olyan reszei a magzatnak, ami kesobb elmulik magatol, de azert szeretne ha valaki mas is megnezne. Hat ez van. Ha 2 feje is lesz vagy egyse akkor is a mi gyerekunk. Eddig is hittel mentunk elore, ezutan is.

Our temple trip- a templomi utunk

On the 27th of October we left to the temple with one of our friends, Marta.
She offered to us that we could go with her by car. That sounded the best version since I really do not want to fly nowadays. We had such a pleasant trip.
4 hours by car to Tallinn and then 3 and a half hours by ferry.
Then we had another 1 hour by car from the harbor, but only because we stuck in a traffic jam in the harbor.
We had 5 days in the temple to serve. I was so happy that I was again able to speak and hear a language that I understand. It was great. It was also amazing to see some of my friends (not all of them unfortunately). We just loved it.
On the 1st of November we came back.
On Sunday morning I felt kinda sick so then I did not go to church. It was really weird, but I felt that there were so many times when I forced myself to do things though I felt sick and now I just told to myself that I cannot do it anymore.
I was reading the Doctrine and Covenants all morning because I missed the temple so much. It was a way long day without church and without my husband :(

Oktober 27-en indultunk a templomba Helsinkibe. Marta az egyik baratunk felajanlotta, hogy menjunk vele az o kocsijaval. Az otlet nagyon csabito volt, mivel amugy sem akartunk menni repulovel mostansag. 5 napunk volt a templomban es nagyszeru volt ott szolgalni. Nem is emlitve azt, hogy vittuk a sajat neveinket is.
Arrol nem is beszelve, hogy vegre ujra hallhattam egy nyelvet, amit meg is ertek es meg valaszolni is tudok. Sajnos nem tudtam minden baratommmal talalkozni, de azert igy is nagyon sok emberrel talalkoztam.
November 1-en haza is jottunk es vasarnap reggelre egy kicsit rosszul ereztem magam szoval nem mentem a gyulibe. Olyan sokszor volt mar, hogy betegnek ereztem magam, de mindig magamra eroltettem, hogy megyek barhova akkor is ha halal faradtnak erzem magam es most csak egy kicsit ugy gondoltam, hogy ezt nem folytatom tovabb, legalabb is addig, amig babat varunk.
Ne is mondjam milyen unalmas volt a vasarnapom. Egesz delelott a Tan es Szovetsegeket olvastam, mert hianyzott a templom, azert ez egy picit segitett, de az egyhazat nem potolta. Aztan egesz nap egesz estig vartam mivel nalunk delutan van Istentisztelet, de a ferjem titkar ezert mindig egy oraval hamarabb kell elindulnunk es legalabb 2 oraval kesobb erunk haza mint a "hetkoznapi" egyhaztagok, a gyulielnokot kiveve, mert o az, aki neha utanunk jon el a gyulibol, de azert neha sikerult rajta is tultennunk. Szoval a vasarnapi elfoglaltsagunk fel 12tol 6 fel7ig tart.

We did not take that many photos since it was raining and when we left the temple it was already dark.

Nem csinaltunk olyan sok fenykepet, mivel esett az eso es mikor este eljottunk a templombol mar sotet volt.

Old houses- Orek hazak

We went to visit my husband's parents before we left to the temple.
As we were coming home with the bus I was planning to take some pictures about those houses that I saw, but unfortunately my nausea was stronger so I was just barely able to move. I had to focus on not throwing up. And I won, but that is why I could not take a real good photos of these types of houses.
So, if you take a look at that house you will see that this house has (had) a strong foundation because all the walls are still standing, but the roof is totally missing.
And it just came to my mind that if we have a strong foundation in our lives means if we have (had) a strong testimony of the gospel, but we do not nourish it then it will be good for nothing. I do not know if all this makes sense to someone else, but it was quite interesting to think about it. (take a look at the second house from the left, that is the one that I am talking about)

Ahogyan a ferjem szuleitol utaztunk haza, azon a hetvegen amiutan mentunk a templomba. Szoval ahogy hazafele utaztunk a busszal szerettem volna csinalni egy par fenykepet azokrol a hazakrol, amiket lattunk az utszeleken. Hatalmas kofalak tehat egy teljes haz, de nem volt teteje, mert a teto mar lerohadt, leegett vagy ki tudja mi okbol kifolyolag nem volt mar rajtuk. Szoval az jutott az eszembe ha van egy biztos alapunk vagyis van vagy volt eros bizonysagunk az evangeliumrol, de nem gondozzuk es taplaljuk akkor semmire sem megyunk vele, ugy mint ahogy a haza az ut menten hasznalhatatlanok holott valaha valamikor nagyon is hasznalhatok voltak, de mara elkoptak. Azert erdekes volt latni oket es elgondolkozni ezeken a dolgokon.

The real excursion Az igazi kirandulas

Today, a weather was very nice again, so we were able to go out and enjoy the fall.
We went to see the sea from the other side of the bay.
Here comes the pictures.

Ma az idojaras volt olyan kegyes hozzank, hogy kimehettunk es elvezhettuk az oszt.
Elmentunk megnezni a tengert, az obol masik oldalarol, ahol meg soha sem voltam eddig.

We saw those cats hanging out by the sea. There were 4 of them, but these two did not run away when we arrived there.

Azok a macsok a tengerparton ucsorogtek es ez a ketto nem futott el meg akkor sem amikor mar eleg kozel ertunk hozzajuk.






My husband found a very special game that he was playing. I could just easily call it sea dance. Anyways he was also watching the sea if he would see some amber swimming towards us. I could easily call ourselves "amber hunters". I am just totally crazy those amber and want to find my own.

A ferjem valami kulonleges jatekot jatszott, amit mellesleg maris latom, hogy a gyerekeink is nagy elvezve fognak vele jatszani en csak valami tenger tancnak hivnam :) Na, de a lenyeg, hogy borostyankovet akartunk illetve en akartam szerezni es allitolag akkor jonnek, amikor viharos a tenger es nagyon hullamzik, szoval figyelni kellett a hullamokat en meg a kavicsok kozott lomotoltam. Aztan talaltam is valamit, amit el is neveztem fekete borostyannak, de inkabb valami megkovesedett szen lehet.







Oh, yeah, I tried to take as many photos as it was possible. I just love to take photos. I love the sea and the pine trees and little hills and forests and blue sky.

Megprobaltam minel tobb fenykepet csinalni, mert egyszeruen csak szeretek fenykepezgetni. Szeretem a tengert, a fenyo fakat, kis dombokat es erdoket es a kek eget.






The whole forest reminded my husband to Sweden and Norway. It reminded me to Finland.
So, we loved it.

Mindketten nagyon szepnek talaltuk.
